Collaborating with a freelance copywriter should be a sure-fire way to produce results.
And it is.
Here’s how it works with me.
We meet, probably e-meet. That might mean via email, video conference call, FaceTime, or over the phone. If we’re geographically close then we can even meet face-to-face.
After general introductions, I’ll give you the stage to share your thoughts.
For this portion of our meeting, I want you to tell me what you want from your business and the struggles you’re having in reaching your goals. If this means you talking about how annoying the upkeep is on a blog then go for it. Maybe you’re having an epic community-wide event and you need to spread the word but can’t stand writing newsletters.
Vent to me. Share your struggles. Tell me how much you dislike the ranking gods. I get it.
Once we’ve thoroughly discussed your goals, I will leave you lighter of load and eager to read my business proposal.
I’ll email you my business proposal, which will include:
- A summary of your business goals.
- My overall strategy to meet those goals.
- A step-by-step breakdown of my strategy.
- The objective for each step.
- A proposed time frame.
- The price.
- Terms and conditions.
We’ll both settle on a start date and I’ll send you an invoice for 50% of the price. Once the price is funded, I’ll begin the project. I accept payment via check, PayPal, or wire transfer.
I support an open line of communication via text, phone, or email. Also, I foster client feedback and find that most clients prefer either a weekly or twice per week check-in.
Should your business goals change, we can adjust the project outlook as needed. I will also present you with an updated business proposal.
Once the project is complete, I’ll send you the final invoice. And we’ll toast to success!
